Our Team
Marty Winders
Marty's passion for classic and vintage car restorations led him to start up Winders Rod and Restorations.
A qualified trade certified panel beater, Marty completed his NZ certificate in Auto Refinishing as an adult. Marty has taught panel beating at SIT and Christchurch Polytechnic for approximately eight years. He has also worked as a Technical Demonstrator for P.P.G. Paints for several years.
Marty moved the business from Christchurch to Oamaru township 9 years ago at 3 France Street. Marty recently made the decision to relocate the business to his farm, and built a custom facility that has allowed him to return to his roots and take on a more hands on role in the business, instead of spending days organizing and office work.
Malcolm Arnold-Grogin
Malcolm joined the Winders Rod and Restorations team in 2021. Malcom entered the industry in 2009, and comes from a Automotive Refinishing background, having completed his NZ Certificate in Automotive Refinishing in 2015.
Malcolm has gained qualifications in panel-beating and is a vital part of our team, bringing a great variety of skills to our business and its ongoing success.
Malcolm also makes sure every step of our process is captured, combining his loves of cars, photography and social media.
Michelle
Michelle works behind the scenes ensuring the office ticks along nicely. Michelle takes care of invoicing, initial enquiries and all things admin.
When Michelle's not at work she is chasing her naughty chickens and sheep around!
